YUPIIII!!!! TEACHING PRACTICE DONE!!!

HI THERE!  I FINISHED MY TEACHING PRACTICE AND I FEEL SO RELIEFE AND MOTIVATED. FOR MY LAST CLASS I HAD A CHALLENGE WHICH WAS TO MAKE STUDENTS UNDERSTAND THE USE OF CAUSATIVE VERBS. MY TUTOR TOLD ME I HAD TO TEACH THAT TOPIC IN A WAY STUDENTS WOULD UNDERSTAND WHEN AND WHY WE USE CAUSATIVE VERBS. I STARTED THE CLASS, BUT I FELT ASHAMED BECAUSE I WANTED TO MAKE TWO GROUPS AND CHOOSE A REPRESENTATIVE OF EACH GROUP. SO NOBODY FROM ONE OF THE GROUPS WANTED TO PARTICIPATE, SO AFTER A WHILE, I JUST ASKED ONE OF EACH GROUP TO GO TO THE FRONT AND ORDER THE LETTERS ON THE BOARD TO WRITE A CORRECT WORD. THESE WORDS WERE ABOUT VOCABULARY THEY LEARNED THE PREVIOUS CLASS. I THINK THIS WARM UP ACTIVITY DID NOT WORK AS I THOUGHT. AFTER, I PRESENTED THE TOPIC WHICH WAS CAUSATIVE VERBS. I TRIED TO MAKE IT EASIER BY WRITING THE VERB, STRUCTURE AND A KEY WORD. I EXPLAINED AND GAVE EXAMPLES OF EACH VERB, AND I ASKED FOR QUESTIONS FOR THEM TO MAKE IT CLEAR. SOME OF THEM HAD DOUGHTS, BUT AT THE END I THINK I ACCOMPLISHED MY CHALLENGE. MOST OF THEM HAD A POSTIVE FACE THAT MENT THAT THEY GOT EVERYTHING. I FELT SATISFICED. THERE WAS A SPECIFIC MOMENT I WANT TO SHARE WITH YOU. THERE WERE TWO GIRLS TALKING AND I ASKED THEM IF THEY HAD QUESTIONS, AND ONE OF THEM TOLD ME,  " WE WERE JUST SAYING THAT WE WILL BE IN YOUR SHOES WITHING 3 YEARS", I AGREED THAT AND THE OTHER GIRL TOLD ME, "AND WE WILL THINK THE SAME AS '"YOU ARE THINKING RIGHT NOW" I ASKED HER TO TELL ME WHAT I WAS THINKING, AND SHE DID NOT WANT TO TELL ME, SO I ASKED HER IF SHE WANTED ME TO TELL HER WHAT I WAS THINKING, BUT SHE DID NOT WANT TO. HOWEVER, I TOLD THEM THAT I WAS THINKING ABOUT WEATHER I WAS ACHIEVING MY GOAL THAT MY TUTOR REQUESTED ME OR NOT. AT THE END THEY LAUGHT AND IT WAS FUN. THERE WERE SOME GIRLS THAT I COULD NOTICE I DIDN'T LIKE THEM, BUT I DO NOT TAKE IT PERSONAL. I RESPECT AND TREAT THEM ALL THE SAME. I JUST WANT THEM TO LEARN FROM ME AND TO RESPECT THE CLASS AND ME. I THANKED FOR THEIR PARTICIPATION AND ATTENTION TO ALL OF THEM AND THEY CLAPPED ME.

THE END OF THE TEACHING PRACTICE!!!!!!

2nd teaching practice

Almost done!!! Hi peers, today I had my practice. I video taped it today. I felt worried because it was time to start the class, and the people were not in the classroom. I started with 5 students only and that worried me because that affected the activities of my lesson plan. I starte with a warm up activity about riddles. I made two groups and I told a riddle to each and the one who answered got one point. They liked the riddles, but there was only one student who answered two riddles and the rest were thinking but couldn't guess. Then, I introduced the topic which was indefinite and definite articles. I gave them pieces of paper with grammar rules to some of them. They had to go to past the correct rule in the correct article on the board. We review the grammar rules and then I explained them. After, I gave some cards with some pictures and nouns to some of them in order to go to the board and write a sentences in the correct article according to the noun. I liked the way they developed in this activity. Then, they worked in an exercise from the book, I was checking their work and I facilitate them some clues for them to answer the exercise. I felt fine with them working in that because they were working in pairs. Thought the class seems to be separated , they are a good group. I wanted to get them close, but they didn't like it, so I didn't force them to do so. The time flies when you explain grammar, so I couldn't finish everything I prepared. I asked them for questions or doughts they had , and one student ask for some explanation and I answer him with grammar rules I got and everything was clear. They seemed satisfacied with the explanation. I told them to write me to my mail writing about one of their favorite adventures they had. This is because it was requested by my tutor. So I have to follow the orders jejejeje. if not , there will be a bad grade jejee. Well, see ya in my last class people!!!!

First class with Advanced

eople, here I am telling you again about my teaching practice. I think it was not bad, but I felt kind of worried because my tutor gave me a lot of directions to follow and I thought it was going to be difficult. However, I planned my lesson and got the materials ready. I wanted to give a interactive class and I sarted with the warm up activity. It was Tic Tac Toe. I draw the lines on the board and cut some X and 0. The students picked a piece of paper to form groups, one was pink and the other group was orange, so one got the X and the other one the 0. They got surprised when I told them we were going to play Tic Tac Toe, and when they saw the X and 0 made of black paper. I made a vocabulary review of the previous class to play it. It was fun, but any group won. After, I gave some of them words in order to make a sentece using connectors, they stood up and  I made a basic review of what a sentece contains and needs when having connectors. The ones who had the words passed to the front in order to make the sentence logic, and they did it good. Then we talked about connectors and I presented a flip chart borrowed by my tutor and I started explaining grammar about linker or connectors. We discussed and gave examples about all the kinds of connectors in the flip chart, they had fun and learned when giving examples. Later on, I asked to make an excersise from the book about writing the correct connector. I saw that time was flying and we checked the paragraph with the answers as a group. Then, my tutor asked me to give them homework and I prepared some copies for them to practice connectors. As a wrap up, I asked some questions about all the things studied in the class , and it seemed that they were on the road. I felt good with the class and I hope I can say the same about my grade jejej. bye bye see ya palls.

My last class with technical english!!!!

Hi everybody, I had my last class with technical english. I arrived very early to prepare everything I was going to use. First, I started with the warm up activity which was the same as Ingrid did in her presentation with teacher Cristian. I asked to stand up, but all of them were like tired and didn't want to stand up. So, I saw this and I understood them and I told them to stayed in their desks. After giving directions, we started with the gestures and they laughed. I think they feel more comfortable with the class after this warm up. After this, I gave a peace of paper to some of them which contained words to form the structure of the simple present questions. I tried to give a detailed , easy and understandable explanation about that. I asked them to go to the board and paste the papers one by one. After that, I wrote some example following the structure. Some of them could help me perfectly, but other seemed that they find it difficult. Later, I gave them a photocopy of a song, and I played the video in my computer. It was a song called "do I have to cry for you". It was a song which had the same structure we were studying; however, I had an observation about the song because I had given them some blanks in the lyric for them to fill the blanks. I didn't use the lyric in the correct way because the teacher told me that I should have delete the words like do, what, according to the words we were studying, and I deleted just easy words. I played the son for them to check the lyric.
I told the students to sing if they wanted to, but I realized that if he teacher doesn't sing, they won't sing either, so I played the son again and encourage them to sing again, and this time I sang too. They sang with me and I could notice they felt comfortable singing when I sang.
Afterwards, I pasted some pictures on the board and I wrote the verbs according to the action. I asked them to write questions using simple present questions. I was checking their work, and most of them were following the structure. Later, when they finished we checked and I wanted to make sure if they understood, so I erased everything on the board and asked one to write the structure of the questions, and another student to write examples. They did it perfect and I felt satisfied. I say goodbye and thank for their participation. They clapped at the end.

Third class

Hi there, I had to teache my 3rd class with technical english, and I think this time was better since I brough active activities.
At the begining I had to wait for more students becuse it was time to start and there were some girls missing. I started with the warm up activity. I asked them to make two roads, the last students of each line saw a sentence I showed them; then, they had to whisper to their classmates the sentences I showed them. The first student had to write the sentence on the board. The girls were having fun and did a good job, and the winners got a candy. After that, I asked them to make pairs and work on an excersise from the book, it was a writing activity. Then, I gave them a photocopy about a daily routine because the topic was simple present and family members. I asked them to make groups of three, they had to practice their speaking by telling the routine of the person in the photocopy using the pictures in it. Some of them were kind of lost because they couldn't tell the story of the daily routine, but there was a group that told it perfectly. I think they liked it, but for some of them was too difficult. After that, they answered an excersise from the book about filling the blanks about writing the verbs in the correct form. We all did it together and repeated the practice, some of them had the excersise already done because the book was borrowed. At the end, I asked them some questions about relatives and they liked them because they were treaky. For example, who is the mother of my mother? I asked them one by one and they were thinking hard and when they couldn't answer I gave the answer and laughed. I think they liked they class because when I said goodbye and erased the board  they clapped, which was something they didn't do the previous classes.

Second entry / Technical english

Hi everyone, Today I had to teach my second practice. I arrived early as always, and when I got in the classroom with the teacher I kind of tired and wanted to sleep. I don't know if that was trasmitted to the students, but I felt them different than the first time. I started the class with warm up activity. Since they were students the time, I gave each a paper in a shape of a circle. I asked them to draw a clock and set any time. They spent more time than I thought because some of them were working on the homework for that day, others were very tired , very sick, so I tried to hide my fatigue, but I don't know if I could. After they finished the clock, I gave them a piece of making tape and asked the to paste it on their chest, and go around the classroom asking, "what time is it?." They had a practice on the time and I  think that worked well. Later, I told them to past their clocks on the board and we repeated the time all together. Afterwards, I played the cd for them to listen to a conversation. I told them to listen, asked them for new words, ask some questions about the dialogue, repeat, and perfomed. I told them to pass to the from with the book and give their own names and another country. They had fun giving other countries because in the dialogue was requiring.
Besides the time, I had to give a review of present continuous wh-questions. I wrote some questions on the board and they helped me to write them, so I could realized that they already had familiarized with the topic. I asked them for some verbs to write the " ing" form. Some of them seemed to understand everything, but the other half didn't participate unless I asked them to. I gave them a picture and I told them to write a questions and the answer using present perfect. Then they had to ask one of their friends the question and their classmates had to say the answer. for example: what is he doing? He is crying. I think this activity worked well spite the feelings most of them had today. In general, I didn't like too much this class because I felt it was passive class, but there could be many things that affected the class like the fatigue, sickness, but I will try to be more active next time.

First teaching practice, Technical english

Hi mates, today I had my practice with technical english. I created my lesson plan which was about possessive adjectives and pronouns. I realized that all of them were girls like the last semeter. I didn't know anything about the group, so I felt a little nervous because I always feel nervous the first day of teaching because I don't know how students are going to react. First, I introduced my self and got a little familiar with them. Then, I asked them about the topic they were studying. Some of them were absent minded because they had no idea what to say. Since it is technical english I, I think it is very hard for them because they are from another major.
As a warm up activity, I brought a bag in which I asked them to place some personal objects, everybody collaborated by putting something inside the bag, and at the end, one by one picked up one object and I asked her, "whose pencil is that?" and they had to tell me, "this pencil is hers". I think it was a nice practice since they were going to use almost the same structure, but different noun. Then, I made an oral activity and I asked them to make groups of three. I wrote an example of the activitiy on the board and told them to follow the example. I called the three persons from the group and I said the first girl a sentence like this. I get a cellphone; the student had to tell that sentence to her classmate, and her classmates had to say, "This is my cellphone"and the other student had to say, "this cellphone is mine". If they all said the sentence correctly got a point as a group.  I think they liked the activity, but it was a little confusion , but I noticed they were trying their best to say it correctly. They seemed intersted in the activity. After, that I wrote it on the board and asked them to do the same in a written form. When they finished, I told them to repeat all the answers , that was fun because some of them said something different, but I let them know the correct sentence. Later, I wrote  a dialogue which they had to filled up the blanks with some words according to some prounouns and other words. They worked on that, but some of them seemed to have problems even with very basic things, that they were supposed to know already. I made them repeat the dialogue twice and asked if there were questions. Then, I continued with an oral activity which I think it was not appropriate because I think it was too difficult for some of them because there were only 3 girls answering what I was requiring. Well, this was all what I can say about my experience in my first day at technical english I.

Last class with intermediate I

Hi everyone, I want to tell you about my last class with intermediate I. I arrived early to arrange the desks in two groups, there was one group on one side and the other one on the other side of the classroom. I started with an activity in the lesson plan, which consisted on writing the name of a movie on the board and ask students their opinion, but one of the groups had to be in disagreement and the other one in agreement with the movie. Some of them hadn´t seen the movie we were talking about. They got excited with some movies by giving their opinion and telling what they liked about the movie. After this activity, I asked them some question in general, but I told them that I was going to ask a question and they were going to raise their hand if they wanted to answer or I was going to choose someone to answer it. There was a lot of interaction between the students and I where they could practice their speaking skills. They seemed they felt comfortable with the questions. However, there were some of them that don´t seem having very difficult problems with the language. When, I finished with the questions, I asked them to make groups of three. I gave each group 3 flashcards in order to make them create a story using the drawing in the flashcard. I set 10 minutes for this activity, and I could realize that they have a very good imagination and could create a story in 10 minutes. I liked the performance of each groups because I made the three members of the group go to the front and tell the story. I congratulated each group and corrected them in a discrete way.
The next activity was a wrap up of the unit. I wrote some filling up exercises on the board and gave them the meaning of some new vocabulary that I was sure they didn´t know. I couldn´t have time to finish the exercises , but I say goodbye and thank for their participation.

Thrid class intermediate I

Hi people! today I had my thrid class with intermediate I. I arrived very early to prepare everything for the class. I had to begin with a new lesson plan and I started with the warm up activity. I liked the warm up, at first I didn't think it was going to be enterntaining, but students seemed to have fun and enjoyed the acitivity.. The activity consisted on pasting a label with the name of a famous person on students back. They had to be famous couples for they to find out who they were. They were not able to see the name of their famous person because they had to go around and ask their classmates who they were in order to find out their couple. It was very funny and I think they were enthusiastic. After that, I started with a dialogue, but to make it easier for them to have an idea of the dialogue, I drew two girls on the board and named them with the names according to the dialogue. I told them that I was going to read a dialogue between Dana and Adri. Students were paying attention to the dialogue, and then I wrote some questions about the dialogue which they had to answer. I read the dialogue three times for them to have an idea of the conversation. At the end, they could answer the questions correctly. Then, I started the new topic which was Simple past tense. They already had previous knowlege about this, so I wrote some examples about it, and made them say an example on their own. I liked this time the class motivation and interest because they seemed they liked the class because they pay attention. Even though I didn't feel so excited, I think it was a good class. I was like kind of off to the class, but I tried to do my best to follow my tutor's recommendations. I think I had a good feedback from the tutor because he told me details that could make the different in my teaching.

My second teaching practice

Hi people, I had my second class today in this semester. I felt comfortable with the class, but I don´t know if I´ll get a good grade because I haven´t had any grade yet. I started with a warm up which consisted on giving a flashcard to students and asking them to provide sentences using much, many, few, a few, little, a lot of. They did it good and it was entertaining because I think they liked the flashcards. After this activity, I started a new activity to review the previous words, and they had to fill up the blanks with the correct word. I gave them some minutes to write down the words, and when they were done, I asked them to read the sentences and stop over the blank. I told them previously that I was going to throw a tape to the person who was going to say the word in the blank. I think this was useful for them to be aware and say the word they wrote. They did a good job and read all the sentences correctly. Later on, I pasted a chart with a dialogue and it had some blanks to fill in with the words I asked them to. I told them to come to the front and write the word. I gave them three words to choose the correct one, and they were choosing the next person to write the other word. I tried to make students participate a lot and make it fun by asking them to perform the dialogue. I don´t know if this could affect a little my grade since I don´t know if I applied it incorrectly. I like to feel comfortable with the class and the activities and I hope it doesn´t affect the way students see the class. When finishing the activity, I asked them to go over some pictures of different places and thinkg about what they would carry with them to that place. They were interested in the pictures, and they were entertained writing 10 things about taking to them to the place. They were joking and talking about a picture I pasted that was about Victoria´s secreat show and most of them men said they would like to go there. I was kind of disappointed because I asked them to stand up and go over the pictures , but only few people did it, I encourged the others, but they said they were tired. Unfortunately, I couldn´t realized about the time, and I took more time that I had to, so the teacher stopped me and I ended the activities. As a conclusion , I can say that I know I had some mistakes that I shouldn´t have done, and I will try to improve next time.

First teaching practice second semester

Hi everyone, I had my first class in this new semester, and I felt comfortable with the group because it was one of the groups I had last semester. This is the first time I followed a lesson plan in a class because I didn´s use any lesson plan in the last semester for any reason I never was given a lesson plan but I had to plan my own class. I started with the warm up activity by asking them to form three groups of 5. I gave a page to each group and a marker , the first group had to write a question in any tense, and the other group had to write the answer for that question. They did a good job and the other group did the same. I could have continued with the activity, but I saw students were not too interested or excited. My tutor told me that I should have continue with the acitivity even though it was time because it is suppose that the warm up activity doesn´t have to last more that 10 min. After that, I thought the students had a reading , but it was not like that, so I addapted the activity differently. I didn´t feel worried because I came up with something quickly, and the teacher told me that it was not noticed by students, but he did noticed because he had written the lesson plan I was using. Most of the activities were changed because of the material I thought student already had. However, it was not a problem. I think students were interesting in the activities and participated in a good way.

last semester teaching practice class

Hi people! I love to write the last teaching practice class. I finished my teaching practice with technical english and I think it was good. I started the class with a warm up which was about a review of the simple paste tense of the verb to be. I asked the girls to make two lines, one at the front and one at the back facing each other. Each of them had to have a pair from one side to another. They had to write in their notebooks 3 questions using was/were. After, when I told them to start, one of the lines was going to shout the question to the other person, and the other one was going to write it. When they finished, they had to do the same with their pair. At the end it was funny listening and looking them trying to get the questions. I told them to read some questions they got and I corrected s0me of them. Later on, I gave a page with a reading to each group of 3. I told them to read it and underline new words. The topic I was going to introduce was prepositional phrases. In the reading, there were some examples of the structure of the topic. We practice the pop up reading. I started reading and then, another person had to continue the reading and finish whenever she wanted, and so on. I explained the topic with the reading , and gave some other examples and the rule of the topic. After explaining the rule, I wanted to make sure all understood the rule, and I asked for a volunteer to explain the rule, there were 2 girls that did it, and it was good because some of the students helped them. I gave them some exercises to work on and all of them were working together. I was monitoring if they were working and if they had questions. The last activity was the one I call "the gossip" I explained the meaning of gossip and girls where making fun of that. I told a sentence to one of the girls and this girl had to whisper the gossip until the gossip was heard by the last person in the classroom. Of course , the gossip was wrong at the end, and the girl wrote it on the board. I wrote the correct message and we compared them. I think they liked the activity because they were asking for another gossip, but it was time to say goodbye. I asked the teacher if I had time and she didn´t say nothing, so I gave another message, but this time was too slow and time was running. I said goodbye and thanked them for their collaboration and participation. They clapped as every class, and I felt reliefe to see that I was done with my teaching practice. jejej. So, see you next semester people!!!

third teaching practice

Hi classmates! I had my third teaching practice, and this time, I recorded the class. It was nice because the class collaborated with me in the activities. I started with the warm up activity. It was a spelling game in which they made 3 rows , I said a word to each row to spell one by one. The girls liked the game, but the highest score was 2 points. However, it was a nice activity to start the class. After that, I told them to make 3 groups of 5. I gave them a pack of cards with some words to order the questions in past tense. They started to order the questions, there was one group that finished quickly, and I helped the others to finish. After finish that activity, I asked them to tell me some questions they remembered, and I wrote them on the board. I explained the structure of the questions in simple past tense using was/were. Then, I wrote some exercises on the board to make girls complete the question in past. The girls were working and asking questions about the exercises, it was a nice drill because they could understand better the grammar. After that, I asked them to make a circle; unfortunately, the room was kind of small for the group and it was like an oval, jejej. We played the bottle game, but they didn´t have to kiss. The person who was pointed by the stopper, had to ask a question with was or were to the person pointed by the bottom. They were asking and helping each other to ask and answer the questions. They liked the activity and learned. The last activity, was a matching exercises which I wrote on the board for them. They asked questions and I told them what to do exactly, I made the half of the group read the questions, and the other part read the answer. After that, I say good bye and thank for collaborate with the activities. They are so nice because they always clap me after each class, and I think they liked the class and learned.

Second teaching practice, 3rd period

Hi everyone, Today, I developed my 2nd class with technical english. I started with an active warm up activity, and I think the girls liked it, but they turned too noisy. Some of them tried to calm down, but I think they had fun. After that, I presented the new topic which was the past tense of the verb to be. I wrote a dialogue on the board and told explained them that before an adjective and a noun goes were/was. I asked two of them to go to the front and underlined the adjectives, and I made them realized where they are going to use were / was. I told them to repeat the dialogue and practice in pairs. At first, they complained because I told them they had to learn it by heart, but them I said that they should have an idea or do it similar to the one I wrote on the board. In order to make them pass to the front, I wrote 3 numbers in a page for myself and then I asked them to tell me a numer from one to ten. The pair that said the 3 numbers I had written, they were going to pass to the front. I didn´t erase the conversation on the board so that they feel comfortable without being afraid of performing the conversation. After that, I dictated some exercises about using were /was. I helped some of them because they really had problems with the exercises, but at the end I think they got it. When I finish , I said goodbye to them, and clapped. Today I felt more comfortable than the first day.

Teaching Practice, 3rd period

Hi, classmates, I had my first teaching practice class. I was a little nervous since I arrived early and there were some girls who seemed to be kind of offensive. I thought that it was going to be difficult to interact with them. After some other girls arrived, I realized that I knew some of the girls because they were my classmates before. I introduced myself and tried to make a kind of rapport with them to feel comfortable with the group. After that, I started the warm up activity about past tense. I asked them to make a circle, some of the girls seemed not to like the idea of standying up, and gave one of them a wool ball. I asked them to pass the ball and I made a noise and when I stopped the noise they said a verb in present and in past. They seemed to like to activity. Later, I started the introduction of the topic, and gave them a picture to some of them. I asked them to think or write an affirmative sentence in past tense using that picture. They had go to the front and paste the picture and write the sentence next to the picture. We checked the sentences and repeated as well. I made them to think and write the same sentences in negative and interrogative form, there was only one group that did answer most of the questions, but the other group had some doughts. They asked me some questions about the sentences and I helped them kindly. After that, I made them to practice orally, I gave them some clues to follow the structure of an affirmative, negative or interrogative sentence. They did a good job. When I finished with the clues, I thanked them for their participation and finished the class. As a conclusion I can say that, it is a good group, but it is divided in one group that know more than the other one. I didn´t know this at first, but the teacher let me knew it after class. So, I will try to be more fair with the ones that have less knowledge.

My last teaching practice

Hello mates, I had my last day of practice,(thank God!!) jejej.. When I was going to make the warm up activity, I asked the students to make two groups, but I felt so bad because they didn`t move at all. I had to repeat three times to make them get together. I asked them for a leather and they were so boring that made me feel uncomfortable; however, I tried to let it not affect myself. After they were involved in the warm up, they seemed to be more relaxed. In this, class, I had to develop the new topic "simple past tense". The presentation of the topic was presented by a reading about Forrest. I asked them to read it for 5 minutes and underlined new words. They seemed that they didn´t know anything about verbs in simple past tense because theyere asking what wasthe meaning of the vers in past from the reading. After discussing about the reading, I had to continue with the rules and it was so tired because there were a lot of spelling rules that I had to explained, I brought a lot of examples of each rule. I think they understood they mayority of these rules because they were asking and giving examples. It took me a lot of time to explain all the rules, but I think students appreciated the way I explained. At the end of the class, I say God bye in a kind way, and I didn´t expect them to clap my class that day, but they did it. I felt nice because I thought they learned and enjoy some activities with me.

third entry

Hi people! Today I had my third entry in basic level. I felt kind of afraid because the students seemed to be kind of distance and with a different feeling. I think it was because they were exhasted and wanted to go out early because you know it was friday!. I wasn`t sure about doing the warm up activity at the begining because of their humor, but I took the risk and at the end I think it was fine for them. When I feel that way, I tried to omit that from their part, and continue being nice with them, and at the end you make them change their humor. After the warm up activity, I made the presentation of the unit. I pasted some pictures on the board and asked the students to go to the front and write a sentence using adverbs of frequency. After that, I read and asked them if they were ok. Some of them did it perfect, the others not so good. I tried to give them and asked them as many examples as possible, I got some questions, but I am sure some of them didn´t want to ask because they were ashamed. Even though I felt with a different environment from their part, I tried to omit it and continued being nice with them, so at the end they were nice as well.
This is all for today people, c ya next entry

second entry

Hi people! today I had my second teaching practice with the basic level. I think, the students like the warm up activity. They review the spelling of the adverbs of frequency and the time. At first, I saw a kind of bad attitude toward the class. I don´t know why, but this is a very special group (if you know what I mean) jejej. After that, I develop a writing practice about a typical day in their life. some of them have serious problems with the language because they don´t even know basic words that they should already know by this time. I decided to choose 2 students by asking a number from 1 to 10, and when they said the number I wrote in my notes, they were going to share what they wrote about their typical day. One of the girls hadn´t finished the writing. First, she read what she got, then, I asked her to tell the rest. I think my second day was kind of weird because I didn´t feel satisfied enough to think I did my best. I don´t if the kind of group could affect in my performance. Hope do not affect in my grade jejej.

1st class, second month teaching practice

Hi dear classmates, I started my teaching class on friday, I was not nervous, but a little worried because the students seemed to be peacky and weird. I started by introducing myself, then I made the warm up activity, I think it was kind of fun, but I had some pronunciation mistakes that at the end I said, What?! I can`t believe I said that jajaj. After that I dictated them a conversation and asked them for two volunteers to read the conversation as they were in real life. After that, I asked them to write the conversation again, but this time they had to change piece of information. I tried to explain the meaning of the conversation because a student asked me what breakfast was, then, I said myself that I should explain the meaning of the whole dialogue, and I did. Afterwards, I had to explain grammar "simple present question, using "do" and "does". Since the students are in basic do not speak too much, but I tried to make them speak. There was a girl who seemed to be so sassy and I think I didn`t like her. when I have this kind of students, I try to be kind with her and try to help her when possible. I think at the end of the class, she had a different concept about me because one can notice when you like someone and who doesn´t. So, at the end of the class, I said good bye and thanked them for helping in my teaching practice, and most of them said, "good bye teacher!" with a smile on their face jajaja.

Third teaching practice

Hi people! Today I had my last teaching practice!!! Finally!! jajaja I feel kind of worried because my tutor didn´t tell me anything good from my teaching, just bad feedback. I started with a warm up activity which consisted on mimic a joke. I divided the group in two teams; then, they chose a representative and another one to write down what they got. I knew it was kind of difficult to get a joke like that, but I wanted to try and see how was the reaction of the guys. I think it doesn´t matter of the activity to achieve your porpuse, but the way you develop your activity. I tried to be active and make it fun. However, at the of the class, I asked them what they learned today, and to my surprised they liked the activity (at least they said that jajaj). Besides, I made a pop up reading which they liked it a lot. I had some difficulties about the meaning of some words because I didn´t know how to explain it in english, so they could get it. I hope I got good grades in these 3 teaching practice because I don´t know any one :-(
So, see ya next entry !! Chaito

My second teaching practice

Hello, today I had my second experience as a teacher in advanced level. I started a little late again for some inconvenientes the teacher had. The students were excited because they had a small meeting (with pizza and soda) after the class. I started the warm up and they liked it! they had fun, but the other teacher aside went to complain about the noise jejeje.. After that, I had to explain some grammar; I was a little nervous because it was something that I have never seen before, but I studied the previous day. I think they did undertand my explanation because I make it easy for them, so they could get it. The topic was the future as seen from the past, so I tried to explain it in an simple form. It is wierd because it is an structure that we usually don`t use. I made students think of their childhood and write a sentence using the topic. They got excited about this because they wrote some personal things in which they remember their moments again jejejej.. As they were doing too much noise about this, I asked the most talkative to come to the front and tell a joke or a riddle. ( this was something I explained since the begining, the most anxious had to tell any of this to everyone) They are cool because they colaborate with the rules. Aftewards, I did the wrap up and everybody participated. I gave each group of three a collage and they had to choose a picture and tell a sentence using the structures studied. They were great! At the end, I had forgotten to give a photocopy the teacher asked me to, so , I hope it won´t affect the grade jejeje...
Well, this is all for today. See ya in my next entry. :-)
